Prolonged Absences, Parents, Pizza, and a Pillow
So its been weeks since I’ve posted something, because life has been CRAZY BUSY!
Summer school is finished, I started working at Bookmarq (the school bookstore) so that I have money to buy schoolbooks this semester, drove Jess to the airport so she could go home for two weeks, helped Denise move out and down the hall, helped Rosalia and Maggie move in, rearranged a couple rooms in the apartment so that its ready to go for the school year, and a million other things.
Then, last night, I got to take a break and go out to eat with Dad, Nicole, and her parents. We went to this super yummy pizza place that had Sprecher root beer. Triple win.
They also brought down a box of my books, and a new pillow. That pillow is wonderful, let me tell you. Its the perfect fluffy-firmness and was absolutely amazing.I haven’t been feeling well the last couple of days, so sleeping with a super comfy pillow made me really happy.
This week has also been lots of fun because Monday night, Denise, Michal, Stephanie and I watched the 1925 silent film The Phantom of the Opera. We had a blast dramatically reading the text provided, and making up our own when there wasn’t any. Then, because Michal had never seen any of the versions of Phantom before, last night we watched the 2004 musical Phantom. Which was also tons of fun.
Stay tuned for more fun and exciting updates as summer winds down, people move back to campus, and school starts up again!
